Dr. Thomas J. Kovacs Jr., D.C. is a seasoned chiropractor with over 20 years of experience in the field. Graduating in 2004 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, he embarked on a remarkable journey that has seen him impact the lives of numerous individuals.
During his final internship in 2004, Dr. Kovacs had the privilege of working alongside the Chiropractor for the Miami Dolphins. His dedication to his craft has led him to practice in various states including Florida, North Dakota, and now in South Dakota.
Hailing from a small town on the east coast of Florida, Dr. Kovacs was immersed in the benefits of chiropractic care from a young age, as his parents actively sought such treatment throughout their lives. At the tender age of 3, he received his first chiropractic treatment, laying the foundation for his lifelong passion for the field. It was this early exposure that ultimately fueled his decision to pursue a career in chiropractic care at the age of 20.
Driven by his commitment to problem-solving and resolving patients’ health concerns at the highest level, Dr. Kovacs places great emphasis on being Focused, Thorough, and Experienced in the chiropractic care he provides to all his patients. Over the years, he has accumulated a wealth of experience, having performed over 95,000 treatments, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the wellbeing of those under his care.
Additionally, Dr. Kovacs is a Certified Acupuncturist for SD and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) practitioner. His extensive certified training in Applied Kinesiology (AK), Nutrition, and Functional Medicine further exemplifies his fervor for staying at the forefront of holistic health practices.
Having previously owned and operated a thriving practice in North Dakota for over 13 years, Dr. Kovacs has also been an active contributor to the field, serving on the North Dakota Chiropractic Association Board as the Northwest region representative in 2018-2019. His professional journey also saw him practicing in Florida for several years.
The relocation to the Black Hills holds deep personal significance as it has been a cherished vacation spot for Dr. Kovacs, his wife, and son. Their love for the mountains and the year-round outdoor lifestyle led them to make the decision to call the Black Hills home, a move that Dr. Kovacs considers a true blessing.
Living in the breathtaking surroundings of Rapid City and the Black Hills, Dr. Kovacs and his family find immense joy in the diverse offerings of the area. “It is a true honor to live and serve people in one of the most beautiful areas in the country. My family and I are very blessed to now call the Black Hills home,” Dr. Kovacs expresses with gratitude.
